This Crystal Elastic Thread is a fantastic alternative to Stretch Magic. It is great quality so will not fray, and comes complete on a spool! This is the perfect size for just about all beads (except ones with really small holes in them). It is fine enough to use smaller beads and is great for beginners as no clasps are required. All you need to do is tie the ends together! How easy can you get? And they make excellent bracelets.
